Privacy Policy

Cureate emails you three things a day to watch, read, or listen to, picked for you. This page explains what we collect to do that, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- What you tell us when you sign up: your first name, your age range, your answers to our questions, and your email address.
- Your time zone, read from your browser, so your email arrives in the morning where you are.
- When you agreed to receive emails, and the words you agreed to, so we can show you asked for them.
- Your replies. If you reply to one of our emails, we store what you wrote.
- Your subscription status, trial and billing dates, consent, and Stripe customer/payment-method references. Stripe handles your card details; Cureate does not store card numbers or security codes.
- What we sent you, so we don’t repeat ourselves.
- One cookie holding a random code that links this browser to your answers while you fill them in. It lasts 90 days. We store only a scrambled version of it, and we use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
- To choose your daily picks and write the short note that comes with them.
- To learn from your replies, so later picks fit you better. A person at Cureate may read your answers and replies to check the picks are right.
- To send you email, confirm your address, and honour an unsubscribe.
- To keep the service working and stop abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not show you ads.
Who else handles it
A few companies process information for us, only to run Cureate: Stripe processes card setup, subscriptions, payments and cancellations; Cloudflare hosts the site and its database; Google stores a private copy of signups in a spreadsheet and receives replies in our Gmail; an email delivery service sends our emails; and an AI model provider helps us choose picks and understand replies. We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your answers, replies, and the emails we sent while you are subscribed, because the picks depend on them. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away. We retain your email on a suppression list so we do not email you again by mistake, plus billing and cancellation records needed to manage your subscription and meet recordkeeping requirements. To have everything else deleted, email us and we will do it within 30 days.
How to unsubscribe
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click. You can also reply “unsubscribe”, or email tech@cureate.app.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email tech@cureate.app from the address you signed up with.
Children and teens
Cureate is not for children under 13. If you tell us you are under 13, we do not take your email and we do not keep your name or answers. If we learn we hold an under-13’s information, we delete it. If you are 13 to 17, we never send you explicit content.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If the change matters to how we use your information, we will email you first.
